Storm Water Solutions
The importance of maintaining a clean storm drain system is extremely important. A system that is not maintained routinely runs the risk of back up and severe flooding to city streets, residences and businesses. It is in the best interest of everyone responsible for storm drains to adopt a rigid storm water maintenance program to clear catch basins and connector pipes of debris to allow proper water flow in the event of a storm.
WCS provides a comprehensive storm water maintenance service. We will provide detailed entry logs with catch basin locations, debris types and weights of debris collected for each catch basin. Analytical information can be obtained on waste removed to ensure that it is disposed of in the correct manner.
Our rates are some of the most competitive in the industry. Consider using our well trained crews to handle you tough situations with professional care. Each of our employees is trained to handle a wide range of storm drain issues. Either to assist your current maintenance crew or to work independently to clean an entire city storm drain system, WCS is prepared to handle any task quickly and efficiently.
THE WCS AUTOMATIC RETRACTABLE SCREEN (ARS)
The WCS Automatic Retractable Screen is first in the line of defense against debris from entering a storm water catch basin. It is made entirely of stainless steel and is custom measured and manufactured to fit various curb inlets. The perforated screen allows normal runoff water to enter the catch basin while trapping green waste and debris at the curb. During a storm event, heavy water flow activates the sail which in turn released the cam-lock allowing the screen to open for maximum water flow in the catch basin.
Our unique design (Patent Pending), offers many advantages over the completion.
The WCS ARS operates with a cam-lock system which allows for a simple compact design. No weights, counter weights or springs are needed.
Our compact design does not invade the space within the catch basin. This is beneficial when using two or more different BMP devices in a single catch basin.
The unit is able to be serviced outside the catch basin on the street level. By simply activating the sail and releasing the cam-lock, maintenance crews could open the gate to dislodge any debris that may be stuck. Competitor units require confined space entry into the catch basin for maintenance.
The WCS ARS mounts close to flush with the curb opening which allows debris to sit within reach of street sweepers.
THE WCS CONNECTOR PIPE SCREEN (CPS)

The WCS Connector Pipe Screen is last in the line of defense against debris from entering a storm water lateral. It is made entirely of stainless steel and is custom measured and manufactured to fit various catch basin configurations. The screen is designed to keep anything larger than 5mm from entering the connector pipe. The CPS unit is built strong with solid stainless steel framing.
The WCS Connector Pipe Screen can operate independently or in combination with the WCS Automatic Retractable Screen for the most effective debris blocking system.
